Getting DRI3 on Arch is needlessly, *humiliatingly* painful for *no* good reason. Argh.
-
Seriously, I should not have to add foreign repos and rely on PKGBUILDs with unstated dependencies for something *this* basic.
-
Never mind - weird dependency and build issues led to a brick and require a hard reinstall of Arch, because that's actually *easier* to fix.

Fuck this shit. I don't even know if my headache is caused by this, or this is caused by my headache at this point. Argh! to the nth degree.

@catonano My experience with GuixSD have *not* been pleasant. I admit Arch can have its issues, but at least I can get it to *do anything*.
-
Update: Well, it all seems to be easier than I thought. One Xorg conf file, and I now have pretty rip-roaring (and libre!) graphics. #libre

Minetest, with everything turned up to 11 and 512 textures can consistently hit 60fps. I turned down the res slightly to be consistent.

@catonano @koz NixOS is a pretty good system that does what Guix does
