In an "EARN-IT" world, simply using encryption can be used as a strike against you in a court of law. Read the new article by our campaigns manager, Greg Farough, and learn what you can do to help stop EARN-IT in its tracks: https://u.fsf.org/3il #encryption #privacy

In the #uk there are new secret laws being passed (yes, secretly) which effectively make #privacy a crime. #encryption must have back doors.

    Announcing the UXFund Results!

Looks like a bunch of really cool projects that seem to aim to provide good intuitive user interfaces for privacy needs. Except peerio, which seems like yet another though end-to-end encrypted, but centralized (yawn) messenger, I'm gonna try some of these, and we could share experiences in the comment thread. Especially Gridsync, a (finally?) usable client for the notoriously difficult to use but hailed end-to-end-encrypted peer-to-peer cloud storage system Tahoe-LAFS, seems promising.
